I am an experienced dog handler and trainer, I own two rescue dogs of my own which I have trained in agility to competition standard, I also have a young border collie puppy whom I hope will follow in their footsteps.
I am a member of Dundee Alsatian and Training Club and instruct a basic obedience class. I am a B.H.S. qualified groom, and have my P.T.T., as well as gaining my H.N.D. in Horse Management at Oatridge Agricultural College.
I have owned my own horse for over ten years, and have many years experience of full time work with horses.
This is my beautiful wee girl Fifi, she is a Connemara X and is 23 years old unfortunately due to arthritis she is now fully retired. I’ve known her since she was 10 and bought her as a 12 year old.
Up until a couple of years ago we were flying round the cross countries having a great time. She now spends her days relaxing in the field with her friends stuffing herself full of grass!
Sadly due to an inoperable tumor Fifi died on the 7th December 2007. She is greatly missed.
Millie is a 6 year old collie X, I got her from PADS rescue centre in Perthshire, she was 5 months old and was so full of energy the centre were finding it difficult to find the right home for her. I took her home and she spent her first couple of years coming to work with me and the horses.
She loves ridding out with the horses, and likes to keep active through the day. She is a very loving dog and rarely leaves my side. She is now a successful agility dog and has won many rosettes and trophies.
Gem is a 3 year old border collie (W.S.D.) she came to me through word of mouth, she was 8 months old and had already been in three previous homes. She was a bit of a troubled wee thing when I got her and still has a few issues!
Everyone gets a cuddle when they meet Gem, but she’s not too keen on being told what to do and likes to think she’s the boss of the house! She has now started competing in agility and is progressing well.
Due to only ever owning rescue dogs, Ryat is my first puppy and we’re having a great time together. He is a red tri-colour border collie and so far is living up to his name!
